ABOUT ME
I'm a video journalist, editor and cinematographer. With a focus on engaging, data-driven stories; I'm well-versed in all aspects of the production process and am passionate about making complex topics and systemic problems understandable to a wide audience.
At the University of Southern California I double majored in Media Arts and Broadcast Journalism: programs which pushed me to tell stories in powerful new ways. Most recently I worked as a video journalist at the Wall Street Journal, traveling around the country to capture a wide variety of stories from the far reaching consequences of groundwater depletion, to the ripple effects of overturning Roe vs. Wade and the economic impacts of Utah's Shrinking Great Salt Lake. I've also covered a wide array of business, tech and politics stories: including on the ground reporting at the 2024 DNC and RNC.
Previously I worked as a Digital Video Producer on the NBC Bay Area innovation team where I edited a daily news show and produced original videos on a range of topics. During my time there, my work was nominated for a regional Emmy Award and was also part of a project that won a 2021 Peabody Award. I'm skilled at creating quick turn-around pieces on a day-of deadline as well as longer-form feature videos with in-the-field shooting (I have a drone license and am HEFAT certified). Ultimately, I want my work to help audiences understand the inner-workings of complex issues as well as the human stories that lie behind them.

With more than 6 years of experience as a video journalist, I bring a unique skill-set to teams with my background in a wide array of media tools and knack for creating and executing original ideas.
